Hello and welcome to my blog at Novista Web. My name is Theresa Martin and I founded Novista Web along with my partner, Michael Kopel. This is an area where you can get to know us a bit better that will not be so formal as the rest of the site.

We will be posting information on topics that may be of interest to our clients and prospects about creating, maintaining and enhancing a web presence. In this blog you will also find my random thoughts about what we do and the world wide web. I am avoiding all politics and controversy because there is plenty of that without me! So, you will find positive attitude here — I am a bit of a contrarian. I welcome your thoughts and encourage you to comment on any of the posts.

A little about me

I spent eighteen years working in large financial services organizations. For the last 8 years of my corporate career I was responsible for directing our company’s web efforts. It was an amazing experience to be a part of the initial transition to a web world. When things became stable and we had already deployed our second generation of applications, I felt it was time to look for new adventures.

So I left my cushy corporate, with the nice automatic deposit feature and annual bonuses, to strike out on my own and follow my passion, wherever it lead. Unexpectedly, that has led me from back to almost where I started, on the web. I have been doing strategy work for large organizations. I have also found great joy in creating websites for small companies, small organizations and individuals. Viva la Web!
